Pancho Villa

Rubric

To successfully complete this assessment, students must consider key aspects of the photograph's reliability and also think about other information that could be used to evaluate the photo. In Question 1, students should explain that the reliability of the image is undermined by the fact that it might be from a reenacted scene and that the Mutual Film Company may not have tried to faithfully depict Villa and his troops. In Question 2, students must identify other relevant information that would help them evaluate the reliability of the source.
